Fasting guide

Do electrolytes break a fast?

It depends on what is in the mix and which kind of fast you follow. Here is how to read the label.

Aftervera Ease and Daily stick packs

What to look for

Plain mineral electrolytes like sodium and potassium have no calories. What usually matters is everything else in the mix: sugar, other sweeteners, flavorings and any added calories.

Where Aftervera fits

Aftervera has 0 g sugar and about 5–10 calories per stick, from flavor and a little stevia and monk fruit (draft values pending manufacturer formulation and testing). If you follow a strict zero-calorie fast, that may not fit your rules. If your approach allows a few calories, it may fit. Your fasting plan decides, not us.

Hydration during fasting windows

Drinking water through your fasting window is a simple habit to keep. Some people like to add electrolytes; others prefer to save them for the eating window.

Talk to a professional

If you fast for longer than a day, take medication, or have a health condition, check with your healthcare provider before fasting or changing your electrolyte intake.

Two sugar-free stick packs, made for everyday hydration: Ease, Lemon Ginger and Daily, Wild Berry.
